I don't want to get sued by any major networks.
So there is a group of men in the Atlanta suburb of Newnan. They are mostly white, mostly well out of high school and all are quite fat. I am one of these men.
We began a challenge last night, a contest if you will. Each of the seven is putting up $50.00 and in sixteen weeks (on or about May 31st) the one who's lost the largest percentage of weight will take home $350.00 dollars. Technically its three hundred since the total prize includes their fifty dollar entry.
The Starting weigh-ins were Huge and there will be no information of a specific nature given for the other participants in this blog. However I will tell you that as a group the total weight in pounds was 2,146.20 lbs. That is more than a ton of human fat-assness.
Other than weight I am checking my measurements again so here are the starters:
Left Arm: 16.50
Shoulders: 58.50
Chest: 56.75
Waist: 55.00
Hips: 49.00
Left Thigh: 28.50
Left Calf: 18.50
Left Ankle: 10.50
Left Wrist: 07.75
BP: 159/104
Pulse: 70
For the record the BP is wildly higher than yesterday's 135/78, but now I'll be tracking those numbers weekly. Tune in next Thursday to see the changes.
I started a diet plan this morning and will get my exercise on with the bike starting this evening. Going with the daily morning stretches and jumping jacks just to wake up too since there is a time period where I take a first thing in the morning drink and a second thing in the morning breakfast on the plan.
This plan involves a 10 day cleanse and a 14 day maintenance plan to get you started. From there it's a program you can buy into for several weeks, say sixteen or so, and you can add and subtract as you change what you do. I am hoping and planning to move from in home biking to getting a trainer at a gym work-out plan. That would start around President's Day and after the cleanse period.
Based on my weigh in weight and the length of time I am setting a target of 50 lbs for the end of May. That's only three months so it would be just over 13 pounds a month and 3 pounds a week. Tough but fair and unlike the TV show I won't have anyone yelling at me and forcing me to exercise so it will require a great deal of self-disciple.
So I'm screwed.
